CA-3. RFI Ishapore India model 2A1, 7.62mm bolt action rifle. Serial number C6199.
Rifle has been "sporterized" and modified into a "Jungle Carbine" configuration. Markings indicate this is a Gibbs Rifle Company Jungle Carbine conversion. Rear sight slider arm shows a different serial number which is common for a refurbishment. Front barrel and nose cap assembly have been shortened. Brass pins (cross bolts) behind the receiver ring are to reinforce stock wood against the higher pressure ammo (7.62x52mm).
