Collection of Zane Grey and Harold Bell Wright First and early editions. The Zane Grey volumes are mostly first editions from 1913 on, the most recent from 1940, "The Riders of the Purple Sage". Six altogether, other titles include "Desert Gold" (1913), "To The Last Man" (1921). Harold Bell Wright (1872-1944) wrote both fiction and non-fiction, and is reputed to be the first author to sell a million copies of a fiction novel, and make one million dollars in sales. Two of his best known books were adapted for early Gary Cooper and John Wayne movies. Note: This item is on the main floor of the house. From street level the main floor is accessible through a small series of cement steps and then about ten wooden steps to the deck.
Books overall are in FAIR antique condition with some approaching good. Writing, age wear, some binding issues, water/moisture damage and staining from storage conditions evident. See photos for more detail.
