This is a used steering gearbox assembly. It appears to be made of cast iron and has a part number stamped on it: 5871849. There is also a logo that looks like a stylized 'S'. The unit shows signs of wear and age, with some surface rust and grime. It includes a U-joint assembly attached to the output shaft.
