CA-19. MAS / CAI Mle 1949-56, 7.62 / .308 rifle. Serial number G 46016. Modified upon importation to fire .308 Winchester / 7.62x51 NATO. Original French military leather strap.

Direct-impingement gas-operated, semi-automatic rifle with tilting bolt mechanism. Flash hider and grenade launcher sleeve, folding grenade sight assembly attached. The receiver block below rear sight marked with assembly or part number G 16289.

*Note: Out of many rifles converted by Century Arms to .308 in the 1990's upon import, this particular conversion is reported to have frequent reliability and safety issues.
