Carved stone mask that could be jadeite or marble. Very much has the look of Mesoamerican Guerrero Olmec preclassical or even Teotihuacan masks. The mask has the open grimaced mouth, accentuated eyebrows, elongated rectangular ears, and wide eyes. It is mounted on a black background in a black wood box. There is some haze on the inside of the glass but in otherwise good condition. It measures 12"X 13.5"X 4".
