Chinese-style Chinoiserie blanket chest with a cedar-lined interior, brass hardware, decorative side pulls, and a brass longevity medallion on the front. The hinged lid is supported by a lid stay and opens to a spacious storage compartment. The aromatic cedar lining is well suited for storing blankets, quilts, seasonal clothing, linens, and other household textiles.

The chest features a black painted finish with brass corner mounts, latch hardware, and decorative accents. The cedar interior displays attractive natural grain throughout.

Surface wear, scratches, and finish wear are present consistent with age and use. The front of the chest shows discoloration where a decorative brass escutcheon is missing below the latch (see photographs).
