Antique painted chair, carved bamboo style, with woven rush seat. The chair features a ladder back and turned legs. The paint is dark brown or black with gold accents and floral designs. A note found with the chair indicates it is an 1820’s Sheraton chair. The chair is in good condition for its age, but it shows some wear and minor damage. The joints are loose and some can pop out and back in.

Condition

The chair exhibits wear consistent with age and use. The finish shows some chipping and discoloration. The woven seat shows some wear and minor damage. There is a small repair to one of the chair legs. Overall, the chair is in good condition for its age, but it is not perfect.
