Violin, labeled on the inside: "Copy of Stradivarius violin made by Albert Goetz 1911." Goetz (original spelling, "Gotz") was a luthier born in 1874, and began making violins in his own workshop in Markneukirchen, Germany in quantity,  and a range of styles. This instrument appears to be in good vintage condition. Surface marks are evident, but fairly minimal; moderate wear from rubbing. No holes or breakage. Wear to neck, but nothing unusual. Pegs, chinrest intact. Bridge appears to have some wear, unknown if original. Tuning adjustment screws intact. Deep golden brown varnish and patina. Two-piece back construction. The violin is strung, one string broken. Unknown storage conditions.  Includes original-appearing lined case, (worn, intact) horsehair bow, extra strings and vintage rosin.

Potential for a nice intermediate to advanced student instrument.
